Can I use these if I have sensitive lips?
Yes! Just like our facial products, these nourishing oils help bring delicate skin (like the lips) back to balance with restorative ingredients that calm, soothe & support while addressing common inflammation-related skin concerns like increased sensitivity, dryness & cracking.
Will these feel heavy or sticky since they're oils?
No! We specifically chose lightweight, fast-absorbing oils & extracts that replenish the lips without weighing them down. Many of the oils in our formula are similar to those our skin naturally produces, so they're easily recognized and leave a light gloss effect but never "grease".
Will these stain my lips?
While intended to provide a light wash of buildable cover versus a long-lasting stain, this might just depend on how many times (and how much) you're applying throughout the day. Don't worry though, if there's some tint left behind at the end of the day you can easily remove it with our Cleansing Oil!
I noticed the color gets a little darker the longer I wear it. Is that normal?
Yes! Everyone's lips have a different pH level, which can slightly alter the color of the tint, so it's perfectly normal to darken slightly as you wear it. This isn't necessarily the oil itself oxidizing (don't worry!), but rather the tint reacting with your natural lip chemistry.
Can these be used with my favorite lipsticks/lip color products?
Yes! Use them alone if you're looking for a light wash of buildable color or on top of your favorite lipsticks to refresh, plump, and add some glossy hydration back to your look!
Are the colorants in it safe and non-toxic?
Yes! Each has been recognized as safe for cosmetic usage by the FDA and unlike natural colorants, they don't run the risk of fading or shifting color profile, so you get to enjoy the vibrant payoff from first application to last!
